Porcelain veneers are safe, effective solutions for resolving a number of common cosmetic problems, including:

  • Deep or severe stains, including those resistant to tooth whitening procedures
  • Teeth with visible cracks, pitting, and other surface damage
  • Crooked teeth
  • Disproportionately sized or shaped teeth
  • Gaps between teeth

For many patients, porcelain veneers provide a comprehensive solution to a variety of cosmetic problems, giving them with the clean, bright, even white smile our patients always dreamed of—all with a single procedure.

In fact, many of our patients who come to us for a smile makeover find that the procedure is much less extensive than they had initially expected, because so many diverse problems can be resolved with porcelain veneers.

We also offer Trial Smiles. The Trial Smile will show you exactly how porcelain veneers will drastically change your smile.

How Porcelain Veneers Work

Porcelain veneers are custom crafted from a sturdy, tooth like, porcelain material, and they are securely affixed to the front of your teeth. This leaves the underlying structure of your tooth intact while providing a clean, bright, natural new surface and minor corrections to the size and shape of the teeth.

The Porcelain Veneer Procedure

The procedure for porcelain veneers generally takes place over two office visits.

During your first visit, Dr. George and her staff will prepare your teeth and take a precision mold to allow your new porcelain veneers to be precisely custom crafted just for your smile.

After you leave our office, our dental laboratory will use your custom molds to create your porcelain veneers, custom fitted and custom designed to your size, shape, and color specifications.

When you arrive for your second visit with us, your custom porcelain veneers will be complete and ready for your inspection. Once you have had the opportunity to look them over, your teeth will be thoroughly cleaned and a strong bonding agent will be applied. Your custom porcelain veneers will then be affixed to your teeth, and any necessary adjustments made. Finally, the bonging agent will be cured using a special light to bond the porcelain veneers to your teeth, ensuring a tight, secure fit.

The process is then complete, and you can go about your normal activities, and enjoy your new, bright, healthy-looking smile.
